The problem
Dr. Dennis Wamalwa has spent over two decades defending Kenya's most vulnerable as a KNCHR commissioner, but that record lived in fragments — he needed one credible home that tells the story, shows the work, and turns supporters into a movement.
My approach
I designed a warm, dignified political brand — an 'Equal rights for every person' hero, a story-led journey, a work and news/press archive, a gallery, and clear 'join the movement' and 'support' calls-to-action — with a light/dark theme. Built fast and mobile-first.
How it's built
- Hand-built static HTML/CSS/JS with a light/dark theme — nothing to break, cheap to host.
- About, My Work, News & Press and Gallery pages, plus a partner strip (KNCHR, NANHRI, Centre for Human Rights and more).
- Prominent 'join the movement' and support calls-to-action throughout the journey.
- Deployed on Render behind the official custom domain.
Highlights
- A dignified hero that states the mission in one line — 'Equal rights for every person.'
- Impact told in numbers: two decades of service and over a thousand verified redress cases.
- Light/dark theme, fast and mobile-first for a broad Kenyan audience.
